Roof not closing

My mates e89 roof isn't closing ,and we are due on a meet today.
Does anyone know any (quick) fixes to how the roof can be closed manually on an e89??

It can't be closed manually like the e85 roof as there's no manual override, its a dealer job :(
Try a battery disconnect to see if resetting the roof module helps?

On the e89 it's quite common for micro switches etc to go. As mentioned above it's a dealer job unless you want to get stuck in, there's a recent post on here for a fix but you need the parts.
 
It's not my car,but it seemed to right itself eventually,so could be battery or microswitches/sensors issue,as there are a few on these,lol.

I've got a problem wth mine . Just started happening.
When I open it it's usually ok but on closing
It has started halting at near final close and I've found
I've had to start the opening sequence again and then it will work properly.
Any ideas?

It's probably one of the micro switches or hall sensors playing up, without proper diagnostic gear you can second guess it depending on exactly when in the sequence the roof stops, it could also be damage to part of the loom.
Find Dietcokeman's recent roof post & give it a read through :thumbsup:

I've had a few like that Tony, it will probably be one of the two boot micro switches . , see my post I linked above and you will see I've updated my original post .
