Roof not aligning with trunk when open

Hi all,

I'm seriously considering a Z4. However, some cars I've seen tend to have the below issue.

When the roof is open, it's not aligning properly with the trunk and there is a gap between the roof and the trunk. Please see attached picture.

Is this normal? Do you have the same issue? Can it easily be fixed?

BTW don't pay attention to the color of this car, it's a custom paint job called sh** storm.

Thanks for your help!

It normal, you don't want it to be touching as it would damage the roof with constant rubbing.

Not sure if that's normal mine stops alot closer to the boot than the one in the pic. There is still a gap as srhutch said
Double pic sorry

I don't know... It's not the first Z4 I see with this and I just drive past a current generation Boxster with the same thing...

Could it be a setting or a lack of hyraulic fluid or something like that?

Looks girly normal but just check its liking down- if not open half way and check it is folding the same on both sides.

Like try and pull it up manually? Maybe I can also give it a gentle push to see if that helps

Yes, you can pull it up manually... Or just raise it halfway. Looks like it's not folding right.

Mine needs adjusted as it's rubbing :x
