It has been a while since Iv participated in the forum , upon reading e85 problems it seems to be dominated by roof motor issues .
Ensure when the car is parked up the front is higher than the rear , the self leveling effect water has will ensure it runs of the boot and not into the roof motor housing

After having the motor moved, I don't have to worry about it anymore. Good advice though :thumbsup:
 
A bargain at that price firebobby and a great idea, however I do feel BMW should address this issue as we pay them loads of money for their product.

If the car is parked nose up what about the water that runs down off the roof and into the drains wont that help the water
pool up around the motor?
After seeing pictures on here of how the motor is situated and where the drain is I have always parked mine nose down where
possible to help the water get out the drain, been doing that for the past 5 years and not had a motor issue yet
 
With the roof motor in the boot it wouldnt matter if it was parked upside down! :D :lol: :thumbsup:

An what exactly happens to the water that runs off the roof, down the canvas or rear window? Where's that going other than straight past the rubber gasket and down the drains?

Nice idea but the angle the car is parked at makes no difference.
