Roof Motor Supply & Fitting Service

A good find.

I have filed the link under "things I hope I never need, but proabably will"!

Good all in price, but they are just using old motors. I'd want to be sure what their idea of reconditioning is:

Quote:
Reconditioned,up-rated and tested unit. Part number not required.
**Please not this reconditioned unit may show signs of use and will NOT look new.

would be good if somebody off here used them and could have some proper feedback of service quality and customer relations etc.... good price if the service etc is up to scratch @:)

I agree. But certain if you provided the part they would fit for a lesser fee. Not sure what they mean by uprated... my roof goes up and down fast enough lol!

Hi

I've noticed that add to.having had the face the problem of my motor dying on me recently after only owning the zed for less.than.2.months now. The downside to the price is that they use a reconditioned part and only guarantee for 12 months. What is to stop the issue re-occuring unless it is waterproofed properly and a new pump from.bmw you don't have to worry about.i got a quote of £560 from.northern hoods for this job

I think it's quite expensive as you're only getting a reconditioned motor.
His german couterpart (that places the pump in the boot and seals it off with a very nicely upholstered panel) repairs most motors too, and then it costs only £230 incl vat (so less than half!!). With a new(!) pump assembly he charges about as much (515 incl vat).

A lot of seized motors can be repaired again.

I get the ones i use off these guys, brilliant service, superfast delivery. Fitted myself and others. Speaking for my own, it runs smooth, quiet and faster than the original. Graham is a really friendly guy and knows his stuff.

For what it's worth, i would recommend these guys to anyone who needs a motor.

Cheers tug.
