Roof Motor - RIP

Afternoon all, hope you are good

Have just tried to drop the roof for the first time this year. It unclips, the windows go down and it just sits there with a couple of mm gap.

I’m assuming the motor has died. I knew I should have had it relocated. I guess now’s a really good time to get a new one and relo.

Can anyone recommend someone in Hampshire who offers the service?

Or is it relatively simple for a local garage to do it??

Local garage would probably take the whole roof off and not really have any experience.
I would speak to RBM in Hook.

Thanks for the heads up, hook is prob 30 mins from me. Is RBM a member or a garage? I tried a search and couldn’t find them as a member

Thanks for the recommmedation. Much appreciated, but this would be on RBM’s patch, so I would fully recommend taking to Ross, there with him being local

That's the one. Ross used do roof motors as a side line when he worked at Sytner, until he set up RBM in 2019.

I've been taking both my BMWs there ever since.

You guys are awesome as always. I posted in one of the Audi forums for a problem with my daughter’s car. I don’t even get a grunt
