Roof motor restored & re-positioned

Just a quick note, to all those who have a roof motor failure or are thinking of moving their motor into the boot where it can't get wet. I called up to see Dave Tel 07 864 860 960, who has a garage in Tow Law DL13 this week after mine failed. All I can say is the man is a genius, very reasonable on charges and a pleasure to deal with. He had mine out of the cess pit where BMW foolishly house it, got it working again and re-positioned it neatly inside the boot behind a purpose made cover. Took him 1.5 hours, just had enough time for a late breakfast at the local café - again good grub and dead reasonable prices, before heading back down home to Chesterfield. Just need the sun to shine now and all will be well with the world.

Good move. Any photos, inc dave's danglers..?

Let's also have an introduction to you and car plz......

Various photos as requested. Basic problem is caused by poor positioning of motor. Water sheds off the roof into the well where motor is housed - behind passenger seat. Once it gets inside the plastic casing, it's trapped and your motor's goosed. Hope this helps any members with similar concerns.
