Just seen you got it out, I'm in ME12 and managed to get mine out (took long enough mind). sadly it was knackered but enuff_zed kindly sorted a new motor for me and got it all working fine.

Ah I’m just across the water from you. Yeah it was a pain, need to crack on with the fault finding today.

I think I’ve found the problem
 Was that in the excact poisituon Zedebee posted?

Yeah, as soon as I got the loom out and ran my fingers down it sort of pitching it I knew exactly where the break was as I could feel a bump. My soldering skills are none existent, so last night I ordered some solder sticks from Amazon that arrived just as I found the issue. So I used those for the repair after dashing out to get a heat gun. I also snipped a few wires that looked bent and did those too. I was so relieved to see it working after putting the roof back together. I’m sure the ideal situation would be loom replacement but that can wait a few years hopefully.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread, help has been invaluable in not only finding the issue but giving me the confidence to sort it myself.
