Roof motor relocation

Hi Guys,
So I decided yesterday to have a look at the roof motor and see if there was any water ingress. What a bloody fight it was to get to it. 😭🤬Considering the age of my car , 2005, the motor was in pristine condition. Even the plastic and foam inners looked brand new. 😀So I've relocated it to inside of the boot. I'm going to manufacture a bracket today to keep it upright and secure. I had to cut a piece of the cap away so the hydraulic pipes were not snagged anyway. My next job is the refurb of the rear sub frame. 🤦

Nice work  Always good to help prevent the dreaded motor failure. Even better when the old motor looks decent!

Hi SqerrNipz I was so pleased to see the condition of the motor when I finally got it into the boot area. It must have been changed/renewed before I bought the car. 🤔 Everything still looked like it came right from the factory production line. Got my bracket made today and now it's secure. 👍👌🤞
