Hi All

Has anyone got any recommendations (and idea of cost) for relocating the roof motor into the boot, hopefully around East Midlands?

Thanks Mike

You could try tug he's Loughborough way I think but unsure if he's still doing stuff like that,
Andyfanshawe is in chesterfield I'm sure he did his look up his restoration thread.
After that depends on how far you want to travel

Otherwise your next nearest option may be Ducklakeview in Merseyside.

Good luck getting it done.

I can definitely recommend Mike ( Ducklakeview)
Does it in about 30 minutes and does such a neat job. I drove down from Edinburgh to get a load of work done and this was one of the many jobs he did for me.
Good guy and very reasonable price too

Hi
I saw one of your posts about a z4 roof motor repair. You posted a picture of a motor the bolts a round plastic disc and a tiny rectangle bit of plastic. Is the round disc and tiny bit of plastic actually in the roof and what do they do. Regards steve

I'd imagine that all the parts pictured (knowing the components) would be from within the motor/pump housing and not in the roof itself, but your question isn't that clear really.

Hi Ducklakeview (mike).
Going through this forum your name pops up constantly. I live in st Helens and own a 07 z4. Sadly my roof motor stopped working today. Can you help me with this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Mike's not on the forum much these days.. just google him for a phone number or check his Facebook page

Have been lurking for a year but as I’ve just had my motor relocated and brought back to life I’ve only got positive for Alan (Number5) at Bristol. He is first class knowledgable and passionate about the Z4 ... plus he takes you to cribs and picks you up :D

Hi folks, I wonder if anyone on here can advise me on my 04 Z4 as to where in the South (I live in Hampshire) can my electric roof be fixed as most of the "fixers" seem to be up north!
