Roof Motor Relocation - Norwich - Norfolk

"Hi Guys hope you've earned a few quid this week!"

Some may be aware I have an oil issue which hopefully is now being dealt with as of first thing tomorrow morning.

After trawling through the informative posts on here the next one on the bucket list - before it fails/ seizes is the roof motor.

Can anyone point me in the right direction who can do this and is local, Norfolk, Suffolk etc.

I don't need it relocated immediately but it would be great to sort something out and at what cost. As well as the price Beers will be bought as a thank you.

To put this in one word - NO :thumbsdown:

A group of us had Mike (Ducklakeview) come down to Cambridge to do a full day (and into the night!) of roof motor moving.

If you search there is a thread about the 'Cambridge roof day' and another about which forum members move motors - Kent or London area might be nearest - unless you combine it with visiting family or friends around the UK

I know there are others, like Number5 and I think a user called Bowser? Not sure where they're based tho
 
To be honest with you. I recently relocated my roof motor, and there are plenty of very good write ups on the forum, that show how it’s done.
You do need the joints of a snake to get in and out of the boot area, and to reach the motor. But I took my time, and did it over a weekend. But in total a good half day :thumbsup:

Hi mate, im from Norwich also and i went to the "Cambridge Roof Day" mentioned above and had mine relocated! I cant help with the roof motor but feel free to ask for any help and Im happy to help where i can and maybe even meet up for a chat and look at each others Zs :)

Hi Jingle, haven't seen your car about, infact the only Z4 I do see is the black Alpina with black wheels parked outside The Fat Cat on Yarmouth Road which I assume is the landlords. Where are you based? I'm in Sprowston just off Blue Boar Lane.
 
I always see that Alpina!! Check its number plate next time you go past!

I’m based in Attleborough but drive to Norwich everyday, work on hall road near screwfix. Will have to have a meet up at some point!
 
yea as above, I've drove from Norwich to Zedfest twice now alone so would be good to get a mini convoy going :)
