Roof motor relocating engineer wanted!

I've been meaning to get my roof motor relocated cos I don't like the idea of it sitting in a pool of water. Is there anyone near me who's capable of relocating the motor to the boot? I'm based in leicester btw!

There's tug, who's in that area
He's done a few
Bowser is near reading I think
There's a garage near Harrogate

Thanks for the reply! Tug isn't doing any relocating until spring time. I did think of bowser to be honest but that's 115 mile trip one way and I think he charges £200.

Dave seems to be best best at the moment. £120 then fuel, it'll be well within £200. It's just the 170 miles trip up there lol.

Hoping to find someone more closer. If not then I'll have to go to dave.
 
Was thinking of using dave myself but going up an having a night over, like the idea of the roof not coming off
 
Well I had mine done on friday and for me was well woth the trip and fuel cost , 260 ml @ 35 mpg 3.0 ltr auto ,from tameside sk16 area,
Biggest thing for me was no roof off, and a triead an tested and well reccomended guy,
I went up an down int day easy peasy,

Can no one do a decent guide for this to hoof up on the forums?
wouldn't mind doing it myself but not worth me heading over the water to get it done by someone
 
This is one of the mods I deem essential and would like to carry out eventually. However since I am half a world away, and there isn't any expertise on this where I am, I will likely have to DIY it hence it is on the back burner till I read/research more on it :D
 
Defo worth getting it done. I think if you have removed your roof in the past, you should be able to work out how to place the motor in the boot, I haven't, so was glad to pay for the job.
Bower is a great guy and knows his stuff on BMW's
 
Yeah I agree. I haven't take the roof off or else I would've tried to work something out. I find it really fascinating that it can be done without removing the roof. Guess now I gotta consider my available options. Thanks for the input guys.
