Hi all, just finishing off relocating my roof motor, I've bought a reconditioned motor to replace my very rusty old one. Is it safe to run it "dry" for a few secs to check it's OK before fully installing it? Easier to check on the bench than back in the boot
I would think just running the motor would be ok.
The hydraulic pump is effectively a separate unit and I'm assuming you have the two apart, so no issues there.
The motor would not really be 'running dry', but in its normal state.
