Bonjourno,
The roof on the M has been down for approx 3 weeks, no previous issues, the other day I started to raise it as normal, remembered I’d got the side top covers on approx 2 seconds after pressing the roof up button, the roof just started to move a fraction, took my finger off the button, took the side covers off, roof wouldn’t play, so I tried to drop it back into fully open using the roof down button, it whined a little but got into position as the light stopped flashing. Pressed roof raised, all I got was a low whine and the roof crawled upwards, stopped halfway, did the same when trying to lower. Now when I press the button I get a very quiet whine, roof moves just enough to make the light flash and that’s it, and I have to physically push it down to to stop the light flashing. Not had any previous issues at all. Car is garaged so doubt it’s a rusty motor but that’s a guess. Can’t think it’s low on hydraulic fluid as not had any previous issues. I’m not really fit enough yet to go removing a wheel and getting to the roof motor and definitely not fit to go inside the boot to look due to broken ribs and scapula not yet healed.
Any ideas chaps...?
I thank you.
