Just an update re relocating my roof motor to the boot of the z4. Today I drove my zed on a decent trip from Cornwall to Hook Hampshire to Ross (Bowser134)'s house for him to relocate my roof motor to the boot without removing the roof. The drive up was good with little traffic to start with until I got to Stonehenge on the a303 when it suddenly got busy. on arrival I left my zed with Ross to do his thing and walked into the village to find a pub for lunch (no alcohol) and was messaged after lunch to say it was done. Surprisingly the roof motor was in good condition with no sign of water or rust (see pics below)
and was covered by a neat piece of carpet to hide it away.
Drove back happy this would not be a worry in the future and enjoyed the zed on the road but had to keep an eye on my speed as it too easy to get carried away. Much thanks to Ross (Bowser134) for his work and would recommend his work as excellent.
