Hi all,
Since I changed my E85 roof motor for the usual Z4 water damage issues, it operates perfectly to open the roof.
When I operate the roof to close it, at the very final part of operation where the locking arms engage into the windscreen frame, the motor squeals / whines as if there is insufficient oil in the system.
When I replaced the motor, I can't remember whether the roof assembly was fully open or closed when connecting the new motor, but I did check the reservoir level prior to fitting the roof assembly back into the car and this seemed fine.
I know I am going to have to remove the hood again but;
Is there a procedure for adding fluid to the pump / reservoir once the roof assembly is removed?
