Roof motor FIXED

This is officially my first post but I've used this site frequently in the past to solve z4 related problems. I'd just like to show my gratitude to the user Number5 for completely fixing my roof. Since I bought the car in 2016 the roof motor has failed on me twice, caused by the very common issue I'm sure everybody with a soft top z4 is aware about. The first time this happened, I took it to a specialist garage and was presented with a very hefty cost so I was very sceptical about getting it fixed a second time. I decided to get in touch with Number5 who rang me almost instantly and discussed the problem. I could tell from there that this was the guy to go to.

After making the two-hour drive I was warmly welcomed with a drink and the work began. Number5 was able to take half the roof off and relocate the motor into the boot within the space of 2/3 hours as I just watched and pretended I knew what he was doing.

Anyway, for anyone who is currently in the same situation, I would 10/10 recommend.

Cheers Number5

(I've also attached some images to show for evidence).

Well, welcome to the forum, glad you got your roof fixed now and hopefully you will get more involved.
It would be nice to see the rest of your car, without Alan's dirty laundry hanging out of the boot
He is a nice guy, but don't tell him that, his head will swell :P

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You definitely found one of the right guys to sort your roof motor out - that's what makes this forum so useful!

Thanks Jamie.
If I knew you were taking pictures I'd have washed and ironed the towels. - even if just to keep Firebobby happy :D
It was a pleasure to meet you and sort things out for you.

Alan
