Roof motor broke and wont release

Hi

I have a BMW Z4 2.2i (2004 model).
The roof motor broke towards the end of last summer, I pulled the red toggle in the boot and managed to manually put it down for the last fews weeks of sun..
However, I tried putting the roof down today and it now wont even release..

Any ideas what could be wrong?
Also would anyone happen to have or know anywhere that stocks the roof motor (I'm finding it extremely difficult to source one in the UK).

Any help would be great.

Also just to add, when I push the button to make the roof go down, it goes orange in colour, when released there is no light.
When I push the button there is no sound of the motor of anything at all.

Have you tried ringing Sopers BMW - I sourced mine there last summer (they give the forum members a discount as well)

Their number is 01522 690000 - ask for Jamie in Parts.
