Roof motor again

Hi guys,

Ok here's what happened. I decided that I'd do a few jobs on the z so disconnected the battery first (always to be safe).

Thought I'd start by painting the calliper s first then move onto the steering wheel refurb but ran out of time for that part.

So here's the problem, the roof was down while painting the callipers and forgot that the ignition was on when I reconnected the negative so now the roof won't cycle and I just get a noise from the pump. After manually rising the roof it will lock from the button but won't raise on its own.

Any thoughts?? Hope it's just a setting problem but any advise welcome??

The electrical noise from arcing during reconnection is not good for sensitive electronics. Hopefully some computer managing operation (General Module V I believe) is just confused. Try disconnecting the battery for a while to reset things, then reconnect only after ensuring everything is off this time.

Thanks bcworkz worrying time this morning it didn't move initially. :(

So I turned everything off, did a hard reset for 30 mins, checked and rechecked all the fuses and reconnected the battery. Success all moved as before :D had to reset the windows but that was easy.

The moral do one job at a time!!!!!!

Whew! Good result. One job at a time and think about what you are about to do before doing it.
