Roof mechanism problem and leak

Hi, my 2003 Z4 e85 roof has to started leaking at the same point on both the drivers and passenger side with water dripping from the roof where the seal splits at the top of the window on both sides as below:



When lowering the roof I noticed at this point on one side the hinge bolt seems misaligned, likely due to the plate behind breaking and rotating causing it to protrude below the seal:



Has anyone any experience of this part failing, knowledge of the part and number or advice regarding repair/replacement?

Could this be responsible for the leak on both sides potentially?

The circular area that your arrow is at is a captive nut to recieve a bolt. Take the rubber trim off and check the bolts behind it are tight.
