Hi my roof seems to go down easily enough but on the way up it needs help. The previous owner replaced the motor and i reckon it needs some more hydraulic fluid.

What do you reckon cheers

No that’s plenty

Over fill it and you’ll have issues potentially

If it’s struggling one way likelihood is the pump is on the way out

Best thing to do is swap the lines over, then gravity helps it on the way down and the good pump action drags it up

Undo the two 12mm bolts and swap them over as they sit

Don’t lose any of the brass washers

Minimal

But worth having some on standby just in case you have a mare

Standard hydraulic jack oil and a syringe to get it in there

In fact the the previous owner had put the motor and pump in the old housing and i reckon it was either fouling up the cabling or perhaps the pump was drawing in air?, so i put it in the boot and cut a recess out of the parcel shelf for the cabling and now it seems to work perfectly!!

Thanks alot for the help guys thats really good!!!
