Roof jammed!

I got myself a couple of these sensors (the cheaper ones) and put them in my toolbox just in case they are needed (hopefully never!)

Thanks for the info.

I was thinking to do the same, might be worthwhile stocking up on them before BMW decide to jack the prices up on these too. LOL

Yes, its crazy money for sensors that are worth pennies really!

I've currently brought a couple of these sensor's from the 2 series BMW, waiting for delivery on these at the moment. does anyone have a wiring guide on how to wire these up. i brought some parts which another forum member said i would need, but he appears to be off line at the moment.

i am a complete beginner with this but i have some friends that might be able to help me if i have a rough guide one what to do

TBH, this is nonsense and not a recommendation.

If one of these sensors fail due to aging and/or corrosion, there are 2 standard fault scenarious:
  • the boot won't open and you don't get access to the right ram and are not able to cut zip ties, open plugs, remove/reposition hydraulic hoses and replace these sensors
  • the main pillar crashes into the NOT completely opened boot lid and you don't get access... [see above]
