Roof Hydraulics

Roof is of car, mounted on stand, leaking hydraulic cylinder repaired. I have refilled reservoir opened bypass, manually moved top open and close several times, motor spins and lowers top, switch wires and motor spins but will not raise top. Should I switch hydraulic lines over to see if motor will raise top? If it does is pump head replacement the permanent solution. Thanks Canada1 2006 Z4

I would do just as you suggested. If it works something has to be wrong with the hydraulic pump head. Did it work before the repairs?
