If you are in the UK, Sopers of Lincoln (BMW dealer who give a small discount for forum members) will supply them posted for about £33 for both. The part numbers are on the thread linked to above. A really easy job to do swap them too. The instructions are on the linked thread again.wingett said:Ah, okay.

Yup, that wasn't me being dense... that was me being unsure as to whether or not the original response was a native English-speaker or not.

I know the difference between a switch and a relay, but I figured it was more polite to pose the question than say "are you sure you don't mean a relay?"
Now to find where those relays...err, I mean switches go.

Nothing wrong with microswitch at all - but I'm a native English speaker and a non-native Swedish speaker. There are times I resort to Google translate for certain terms in Swedish (in Swedish which I'm guessing is similar to German, it would be a "fackterm") which are related to a specific areas.
That was what I was worried about... and now I see that it's all "kinematics box" which really messes with my language abilities
I've found somewhere that will supply those parts in the UK so hopefully I can try and get them installed and see if it will make any difference.
