I use the BMW stuff, the cleaner sprays on and gets sponged/brushed in, whilst the sealant sponges on (and is a pain to get off body work)
I've been doing the cleaning stage today, since the hardtop has just come off for storage. I've found that a treatment with both products has done a good job on the crease marks when I tried it last, hopefully it will do the same even when the hardtop has been on a while. Needed to make sure I got down to the lower edge of the soft top, not quite green, but there was quite a bit of muck, the sponge came away pretty black.
I plan on covering windows/body work when I apply the sealant. Last time I didn't do that and it was several car washes before the droplet residue was gone.
