Roof fixed today! New motor fitted.

Hi folks,
I've posted on here a few times about my roof issues, but as of today the roof is back in service !
The motor was replaced by a local independent garage (Ochil Garage, Tillicoultry, Central Scotland).
These guys were friendly & honest, and the bill was much less than the estimate from the BMW dealer.
Problem was the motor had been spinning but the roof wouldn't move.
Loads of water came out with the motor and the bottom of the motor was corroded quite badly.
The drains were blown through with compressed air, so should be ok for a while.
Didn't think this would happen on an '08 car!
Anyway, thanks for all the help on here.

£760 all in. Nearby main dealer (Perth) told me the last one they done was £1080, so not too bad.

Great result!-could it have gone on an 08 because of your climate up there?-or is it garaged?

The car spent it's first 4 years between Reading and Newcastle, I've had it garaged most of the time.
Just been unlucky! It's all good now though, spent today cleaning it in & out
