Roof fault A694

My turn for another roof fault.

So timeline....
1) Opened roof, deck went up, rear roof went on top of front roof... BONG
2) Checked fault codes, A691 Hall sensor, rear-end module open.
3) Ordered the correct part Hall Sensor.
4) Found the offending Hall Snsor, both wires had pulled out.
5) Replaced Hall Sensor.
6) Checked system, still not working.
7) Check fault codes, A694 Microswitch 'cowl panel reached'.
8) Managed to gain access to the microswitch above the driver seat. Microswitch operates and gives resistance reading for both positions, consistant with other microswitches.
9) Plugged back in and checked operation of roof. Press close button without operating microswitch and the LED stays RED, press the microswitch and press the close button and the LED goes GREEN. So to me this proves microswitch and wiring are OK.
10) Still got fault code A694, will not clear.

So, any help? Looks like it's going to have to go up to ZedShed if I can't find a solution soon.

Thanks for reading.

Chasing ghosts again.
Using ISTA D to check everything as much as I can.
Screens of actions I've checked, plus I've done a module reset and fault code delete with ISTA, but to no avail.
Screenshot definitely shows that the 'Cowl Panel Reached' microswitch is recognised and in the correct position, contrary to the fault code A694.

I had the same fault code for the rear deck lid. It was the micro switch on the hinge mechanism. I changed both but only one was faulty

This is the Hall Sensor I replaced for the original A691 fault.
Which microswitch did you change? Any chance of a location photo for clarity, please? :)

It’s behind the hinges on the rear deck lid. The big hinge held in place with three bolts. I marked them for position before removing.

Another tip is to hold a soldering iron on the retaining screw to soften the loctite. It then comes undone easily without rounding the heads.

I chose to depin and repin to avoid cutting and soldering.

Well just to update this thread....

The car is fixed! Faulty replacement hall sensor. I initially replaced the wrong sensor (my fault), so when I found the correct one that had broken, I then used the one I'd removed to replace that. But as the replacement was faulty that made it a complete cock-up to find it.
Anyway it was found in the end, with a visit to ZedShed, 250 mile round trip, 5 hours driving, half of which with the windows down. Just got to get around to putting all of the boot trim back now.
