Roof Failure

Hi All

Thanks for reading. First post here.

I bought my Z about 8 months ago stupidly without checking the roof. Simply put the roof unlatches and moves an inch or something but then nothing, is this simply the roof motor gone or is there something else to this?

Hi, welcome to the forum. Lots of threads on here about roof motors - use the search tab on the menu bar at the top left of the page. If you give your location you may well be contacted by one of the members (think there are half a dozen or so) who repair/move roof motors a well known issue for E85's - although you don't state which Zed you have.

Easier than doing it yourself - unless you can easily fit into the boot and are left handed; and nothing like you would have to pay BMW.

So now you've found us how about a picture of your Zed?

I can sort that for you in about 45 mins, without needing any new parts. Once done, its safely relocated into the boot so won't get wet and fail again. I have done LOTS off these. My email address is in my signature.
