Roof fabric issue

I'm probably not the only one with this issue but would like a solution to it if anyone has one.

Basically I have a very small wear/nick mark on the canvas. Its not gone right through but I want to stop it in its tracks before it gets any worse and does evolve into a split .
Is there a glue or some sort that I can put on it to stop it going any further? The rest of the roof is ok apart from a few fold marks which I can live with.
Any info appreciated.

Is it on a part that rubs against another part of the fabric when folding?

I knew there was a thread somewhere but couldn't find it.
Might have to give the Merc stuff a go.
