Roof drain question

Hi all

Heres one for you: has anyone experience of this?

I can see water when the roof is down, in the drain well of the drivers side. My roof motor has been moved (I know its the other side...) but as I don't want to get a shoulder of water I thought I'd attack the drain in under the car

Got to it- fairly crudded up. Took the rubber valve thing off and whacked a bar up there expecting a gush of water- nothing!

What am I missing?

Use a piece of wire up the hole and tube until it is into the well

1.5mm single core flex will work ok.

Have the roof down and fish down from the top through the hinge. If a leaf or similar is covering the hole you'll be able to move it away and rod down about a foot or so. You can only go the whole way down if you use something flexible. The drain channel is not straight.
