Roof drain clean from the top?

What we really need is a group meet with someone who has a failed motor. Then remove roof so that we can see the motor. Someone then goes in from the boot and we can work out how to do it without damaging the electrics/hydraulics.
I live in the South East and would certainly be interested in helping out as I am fairly handy with the spanners.

that would quite a long meet. removing the roof even when you know what your doing is at least a few hrs I would say. having had the roof and motor apart i would say there is plenty of scope to relocate the motor to the boot. finding a place for it might not be so easy as where has been suggested previous has a bunch of stuff in my car but not an insurmountable problem. I would say even easier if a couple of new hydraulic lines could be made up.

if you want to get an idea look at the real oem site to get a rough layout and then remove the tray in the boot and sit yourself in. i can get right up inside the void behind the hoops doing this. IRC the motor is bolted to the roof frame on the passenger side and has a short line to the ram on that side and a longer one that runs around the frame that holds the roof to the car around the bulkhead there.
