hi all. just wondering is it ok to leave the top down for long periods at a time also when leaving it in the garage? silly question i know .just had to ask it  :) spammy

Not a silly question , Ive wondered about that myself . I had it in my garage over the winter , I would keep it up for a few weeks , down for a few weeks . Ive had mine mostly down so far this summer but when I pull it in at night , I usually put it up.

It’s best to keep the roof up when stored otherwise the fabric will severely crease and may then struggle to stretch tight when eventually put up.

If you have the hardtop the roof sits down for the whole winter...

There's no harm in leaving it down as long as it's dry so it doesn't go mouldy.

Yep, and then I usually end up extracting the seized roof motor and putting it into the boot around March, the following year !!

Seriously, I do have to fix a lot of roof motors come spring after the hard tops have been removed and the motors have not spun for 6 months during winter.

A rolling stone gathers no moss, as they say
