Is it possible to put the roof down with the key fob? Sure ive read somewhere it is, but not sure if it is standard or how you do it?

mines a March 2004 build and had to be programmed at an indy but it can do it.

Im sure there are others on here with older cars that have had it programmed too :D

I had to have it activated by an indi on my 07 Z4. Some main dealers wont do it due to safety issues.

I think it's just the roof up from the remote that the dealers won't do. H & S reasons, you might chop your partner's head off when you close the roof :) Mine opens and closes off the remote, closing set by an indi.

Mine is now reprogrammed to go up as well!

Makes me look like a right smug c*** when I park up at sainsburys, and then walk away with the roof going up 8)

Is that the one touch thing? If so, how much did you pay and can you fit it yourself? :)

£30 from Autotech in Telford. http://www.autotechperformance.co.uk/
My car also now beeps on locks/unlocks and different flashing lights etc.

I paid £30 from a local indi also, he also turned on the triple indicator flash and beeps for alarm arm/disarm.

The remote key is good but doesnt work 100% all the time, sometimes it'll stop half way and it does seem to take an age holding the key fob button.

I bought the reinhold from a member here on the forum... still waiting for it to arrive, however I plan on installing it myself. This will allow me to open and close the soft top using only the key and I do NOT have to hold the button.

Being in GB, you can actually order it yourself (they wont ship to US) http://www.cabrio-module.de/

There is also the eOpen route which I will be taking to get my folding mirrors to work as well. The issue I have with Reinhold is that I have seen too many "wrong" modules, including DOA ones which is really horrible as you think you wired something wrong.

I had an eOpen on the previous Z that I sold.
