Roof down in the dark.

Overnighted it once from the dordogne to a place called Heilbronn in Germany , roof down all the way , it helped that it only went down to a positively freezing 20 odd degrees , great fun .

Yep I love driving the Zed in the dark with the roof down, even in the winter just crank up the heater and on a clear night just savour the experience and the night sky.

I've done that but usually get stuck in slow moving traffic. Too fast to put the roof up and too slow to clear the rain!
 
honestly going this is a real treat, catch a good warm evening, on the motorway, music going, engine making its noise , the smells the sounds, really is a feeling of something special...

Very true, last year we drove home in the dark from the Ace cafe, down the A40 then M40, roofless all the way :thumbsup:

Very nice :thumbsup: So yours has the fully retractable glass roof, and I guess with the windows down gives you a kind of open top experience. Beautiful cars the 911 :)
 
yep you get an almost open top experience - downsides are the glass panel means almost no view from the rear when its retracted and the additional weight.

I have recently bought a AG cleaning kit and have watched a few cleaning vids on YouTube.
Have also taken on board the need to mask off Windows and surrounding paintwork from the proofer spray.
My question is has anybody cleaned the parts of the hood that you can see when the roof is half down and the folds on the sides when fully open.
My roof is pretty mouldy and dirty in these parts but don't know how I can clean and hose down these parts without making a mess and flooding around the boot.
Don't want to neglect this part as its looks important to keep clean as well.
Any tips would be appreciated just waiting for some decent weather to attempt it all. :x
