your post has lead me to believe i i am somewhat to self conscious about my appearance, if i think the roof will go down i make sure i shave, do the hair, nice shirt etc.

i think its london that has done this to me, you guys have to remember most of my driving is around central london, so im surrounded by range rovers, porsches, etc all the time.

this car is actually quite dangerous for me, passing by Trafalgar square the other night with the roof off, when i heard a guy shout "put your roof up you twat" i put my hazard lights on got out the car, went straight up to the chap, there were two of them, but im 6,2 and 210 lbs, also been training/fighting mma for 4 years, i said if i want my roof down ill have it down, if you wanna take it further ill flatten the pair of you now, and they shook my hand and off i went,

im short tempered so i hope i can enjoy the car without having to inflict trauma on someone.

Coaldust - Yep, I think you're right it is a different environment in the centre of our large cities. You should use your judgement about whether it's appropriate to have the roof down.Would have thought central London could be a more potentially risky place to drive top down at night.

However, I'd take the 6'2'' 210lbs and MMA over the nice hair and shave! :lol:

I don't like looking scruffy driving the Zed. In fact I don't like looking scruffy in general. That's just who I am. People are different.

I'm in the scruff bag camp, always in need of a haircut / shave, I live in jeans and a T shirt. don't possess a tie (there's a black funeral one somewhere but that doesn't count) and the last time I saw my one and only suit was at the wedding I bought it for 10 years ago! I also never use the wind deflector on the Z so my hair is usually knotted - or squashed flat from my crash helemt. In short I had a vanity by-pass years ago so don't really give a stuff what anyone thinks of how I look. This weather, beany hat and fleece with the top down, heated seat on full and blower going full tilt in my face - luvly jubbly :)

The roof button is pressed even more quickly if I'm feeling rough and/or hungover.

Roof down whatever in my eyes!
