roof down driving in winter?

The weather and road condition here today were great. Just a shame I was working and I live right round the corner so couldn't enjoy it. Hopefully tomorrow will be more of the same.....I've got the dentist 15 miles away in the afternoon so hopefully I can get a proper roof down run in my beautiful machine.

Must admit I've felt like this a couple of times in the last 2weeks driving home from work at 6-7 clock with roof down but the difference between me and most other people is i can :driving: :D and I love it hahaha

used to love winter top down blasts in my old z3mr, if I had more hair I would have enjoyed more summer top down runs too, now prefer the air con on in the z4mc. some w8nkers just have to try and spoil yr fun, rag or tin top its your choice rain or shine ,summer heatwave or freezing cold winter blue sky day, enjoy your pride and joy and sod the knockers :driving:

I don't understand why other drivers get so arsey about people who have their roof down.

firstly, are bikers exempt from being called all sorts? Secondly, cars have been fitted with heated seats and blowers that direct hot air to your face for longer than I've been alive. Lastly, whats the difference between driving with the roof down and walking?

I think most of it comes down to jealously. They'd like to do the same but can't because they either can't afford to (highly unlikely as you can buy z4's cheaply now) or they didn't have the bollocks to own something a little different/impractical, so went for a bore fest hatchback.

there you go! hit the nail on the head, bikers are freezing and facing death at any moment, people walking say "oh look its cold hes roof is down" they dont realize we are warmer than they are the twats, jealousy is a cruel thing, when i was skint and drove a £300 mondeo i used to see people with there roof down and i thorght "good luck to them etc they are enjoying themselves" i never suffered jealousy thank fu*k, must make you a bitter person.

Before I had my Z I used to look at people in convertibles on perfectly acceptable roof-down days and think - "what a feckin' waste, they should have their car confiscated and be slapped several times for spending the premium on a soft top and not using it".
