I always wear a cap to avoid sunburn.

A fitted ball cap (or one you've adjusted to fit correctly) generally won't blow off. I drive with the top down at 80+ mph and my hat has never blown off or even lifted off my head (also, I'm 6'-5" tall, so my head is high relative to the seat back). Larger brim hats are a different story.
