Roof Does Not Lock

ok so ive had my z for over 2 years now and just noticed that although the roof works fine and goes all the way down it has never fully locked in! i pushed it down today for the first time and noticed it clicked in place! any ideas on how to fix this?
 
This lock was removed around face lift time. That and the fact you have never noticed it, I wouldn't worry about it.

im not very worried tbh! but obviously it should lock and it hasn't been since owning it, would like to get it sorted
 
My first Z had this problem, a 54 plate. I just reached back and pushed it into place and never bothered about it. I'm sure someone on here got it fixed - one of the girls, possibly Cassie ? In any case, as srhutch says, the lock is not necessary... Though my current Z still has it for some reason, probably because it's a very early facelift.
 
Although I had mine looked at a couple of times by an Indy and was told the frame was slightly bent or misaligned, I've never gotten it fixed with any success, though they tried. It's still quite annoying!
 
Honestly wouldnt worry about it. When I fitted my GapTech on my old roadster it didnt click into place when opening from the remote. It never bothered me.

The curse of being on here so much is that I have an almost encyclopaedic memory of stuff I see :D
