Roof died

Only had the car a couple of months and today the roof would not close - flashing red light on the roof open and closure light. No motor noise nothing. Wont go up or down again

Read a few thread and sounds like the motor has given up the ghost.

Do have a bmw warranty so will get to try out Synter Leicesters parts and service side. BMW road assist came out to get it shut (really must read the manual) and he said they do not keep motors and they have to come from Germany - is this right? If it takes too long i will have to drag the TT out of storage to get the my fresh air fix. :x
 
You'll find alot of parts need to be ordered (any manufacturer tends to do this now i've found), would expect it to be only a few days at most presuming they have stock over there...
 
Next day if in stock in the UK, which most parts are. 3 day delivery from Germany is the norm if out of stock.
