I've had a search on the site but couldn't find anything so here goes.
I started the car up on Friday last week after being stood for a couple of weeks. The wipers were slow and the windows where slow (trying to remove the dew from the glass). When pressing the 'down' roof button: nothing...not even the red light. I checked the battery and it was showing a need for charging. Put it on trickle charge with my Optimate and after 36 hours got all the green lights on the charger. Started the car, much livelier, and the roof opened no problem. Two days later, batter lost its charge and the roof button dead again.
So on Monday I visited local indy who put on a new battery. Went into the coding system as he said it needed to be told about the new battery, but he was surprised to see no battery registration option came up on his diagnostic machine! Anyway, tested everything and all OK apart from the roof button dead again!! The fault code came up as something like; 'Cowl Panel Motor Short Positive'. He was foxed. He asked if I could leave it with him and he would look into it. I paid the £110 for the battery and fitting and left.
I am going to chase him tomorrow but thought I would check in here to see whether others had the same problem and knew of a fix?
Thanks guys.
