Roof cleaning

Now I normally use AG, and last time I used i accidentally didn't let the roof dry a bit and wasn't too happy with the results.

A few questions, no seen as I've just recently polished and waxed, if I use the cleaner (which I have loads of) when rinsing it off will it deteriorate any of the wax sealant? Also what's the best tool to scrub with seems like a silly question, but I'm not a fan of the sponge that comes with AG. Also another scrubber to get in the little bits by the lower part of the door if that makes sense as I can never get all the green off?
Also I've been reading on here about Fabsil as a proofer and think I'm going to give it a go, as its £13 for a litre and seems like it does a great job, I take it you just brush it on?

Thanks in advance!

I use these on the roof, along with normal detailing brushes for the small crevices..

Have the roof half open to get in around the bottom where it meets the car, use a hose with an adjustable flow spray gun to rinse as you go, and soak up the loose dirt and puddles with microfibre towels.

EDIT: Wash all the grime out of the towel with the hose away from the car, if you don't get the spores away from the roof, it'll just spread and grow back worse. Also don't be scared to be reasonably firm with the scrubbing.

Heres a few pics of my 330 roof once cleaned with Bilthamber Surfexhd and a vikan brush, sealed with Fabsil. Trust me this is quite a transformation, i bought the car cheap it came with a lovely green mouldy moss covered roof, anyway heres the pics once restored :D

My roof is washed regularly with BMW cleaner and a soft brush and looked clean, someone mentioned using a wet vac' so I thought I'd give it a go after rinsing and was shocked by the brown mess that was lifted from my 'clean' roof! two more wash 'n vacs later the water finally cleared, so a big thumbs up for using a wet vac
