Good evening everyone I am new here. I have some questions and would love any help to fix my issues I am having with my 2005 z4 2.5. I hear my roof motor running when I try to put top down on convertible but I have to manually use back and lock it down and switch is blinking. Is there a way to fix without any big money spent I have 05 z4 2.5 and one wiper is working and one isn’t what can be wrong. My brake light and abs lights are on. Any help would be greatly appreciated I live in the US.

I may be wrong but both may be linked to common issues with a car of that age. I had wiper issues and soft top issues on my old 2006 Z4 too.
For the roof motor - it may need its roof motor relocating. If it rains a lot, it can basically be sat in the water, as I think it is within the water well where rainwater collects. This is a design flaw and a common problem. It is fairly easy to open some bits up and have a look at the motor - it may need cleaning and may be rusty. You can relocate your roof motor and avoid these issues in the future. After I did this my roof motor worked perfectly.
For the wipers, it may be that your wiper motor area needs cleaning. Grease builds up and means the contacts and electrics aren't working correctly. Roof motor - bypass valve is stuck in. Need to pull motor and release / lubricate. may as well relocate it to boot while your are at it.
