Peeps can we give Ron a mention please, he’s very very low, still in hospital, he still can’t walk and is understandably extremely down, it must be horrendous for him as he’s been like this now for well over a year, more like 2, and for a previously active and outgoing man I can’t imagine his mindset.

Please give him a shout, he’s not asked for this but I’m not in any doubt he needs it.

I echo the above. Looking at the previous threads, it looks like it is now 4 years already :cautious:
 
I was thinking of @ronk just the other day, wondering how he's doing, as it's been a while since @Argyll Andy gave us an update.

I hope he is generally OK, despite everything.
 
Wow, I was only thinking of Ron earlier today wandering how he was getting on as its been a while for any news.

I'm sorry to hear he's still struggling so if you see this Ron, hang in there and try and stay positive, I hope things do improve,

Two issues, First was Double Pneumonia. 2nd a bad fall.

Life can be tough. The tough get through it. Go for it Ron. ;)

I was only thinking about him a couple of days ago - I've missed his humour!

I check his profile a couple of days ago to see when he’d last visited.
Ronk, it’s seems that there’s lots of people here who’ve been thinking about you and wishing you well from a distance.
 
It’s been a very difficult time for both my wife and I

I am currently in a nursing home in Peterlee and still unable to stand or walk - I’ve been in and out of hospitals on what seems a regular basis. I’m having a miserable time of it to put it mildly and she has been in and out of hospital on a regular basis also.

I had a reasonable offer for my car and feel guilty about not return the chaps email but the remote albeit very remote possibily of driving it again is the carrot at the end of stick that keeps me going - who knows it might end up as a barn find one day!

Can I take this opportunity of thanking all you remote well wishers - kind words really do count.

On the upside I have started to regain some upper body strength and it seems that I am to be getting an electric wheelchair and a codgers reclining chair - I’m sure it will be bettter to watch Bargain Hunt from a comfortable chair - or more easy to escape from using the powered wheelchair

If my accident has taught me one thing it would be DON’T WORRY ABOUT WASTING MONEY - WORRY ABOUT WASTING TIME

I will try to return to the forum more often in the future
