Just make sure check prices in Restaurants & Cafes before ordering anything, I was in Rome (Great City, I normally hate city's, but just loved Rome most of the famous stuff is all in walking distance of each other) over Christmas and we dropped our guard one day in a cafe in a square near the Pantheon, I knew we were stuffed when I heard a waiter tell a prospective customer it was 1 euro for a coffee at the bar or 4 1/2 euros on the terrace, we ended up paying about 50 euros for lunch (what made it even worse was, it was nothing special and not a patch on the Irish Bar called the Abbey Theatre (Sorry I'd been away for nearly 2 months and was gagging for a decent pint) we'd been in the previous day that was half the price) when we were trying have a cheapish day it included about 6 euros for a 330ml can of coke and 12 euros for what they laughingly called garlic bread.
You will be spoilt for choice for food and drink as there are so many restaurants to choose from down every little side street it really is hard to recommend any, just be careful not to get ripped off.
