Not sure if this is what you guy's are in to or not but i went along to AMD in Thurrock today to catch up with some of my old mats from the BMW mini forums that i used to belong to, they had set up a Rolling road day for the mini's so i poped along just to say Hi. they soon Persuaded me to put the Z on the rollers. i was'nt expecting much as it is 100% stock so crossed my fingers and hoped it made the 170bhp as it says on the tin for a 2.2, to my suprize it mangaged 179.3 Bhp

Yep not so bad, I must say the car dose perform better than expected. i only got it Late July, you know when the summer ended  I was planning on getting a 2.5 or a 3lt but this one popped up and as you can see is very clean and had only 19000 mile on the clock, it was priced below the glasses guide so had to have it. I'm not planning on any big mod's on this car unlike the Mini, just wheels, i carnt make my mind up weather to go for 18'in or 19'. i need a ride in a Z with 19' on i think

My wife bought herself a 2004 MY 2.2 a couple of months ago after driving Jap cars for sometime. I spend my days tuning and mapping and have a Dyno Dynamics rolling road, I will try and persuade her to let me put it on the rollers and post up the results. Hers has done about 70K so would expect the power to be down a little, but its not unusual to find a BMW making more power than standard. Def been looked after.

Yep looks healthy. Think that the slight dip at 4500 rpm would probably be cured by using 99 fuel, although you probably don't notice it on the road.

I have been around BMW mini cooper S for the last 4 year's and have attend a lot of rolling road day's, the mini always push out above figures and you don't need to do a lot or spend a shed load of cash to get there, my one was knocking out 230bhp with 205lb/ft torque with just bolt on bit's with on internal engine mod's. But i'm loveing the Z, the smoothness of the straight six put's it into a class of its own. I have been told that a remap on the 2.2 will give it more bottom end power and will iron out that flat spot that seems to be there up to 3500rpm Both BW chiptune and AMD say the same thing, what would you thoughts be seing that you are in the know with doing mapping yourself

I wouldn't call a 2lbft discrepancy (on the second run at least) a flat spot! Certainly not worth a remap in itself. As said above, make sure it has good fuel... Good lines (not curves!) :)
