Rollercoaster of emotions...

So just over 3 months ago I bought my beloved 2003 Z4, with one previous owner having done only 18,000 miles.

The day has finally come where my inexperienced Zed is about to grow out of its teens into its 20's

On one hand, it's been 1999 miles of epic smiles...

And on the other hand I feel that she's growing up so fast. I just don't know where the miles have gone.

Thank you for reading my incredibly pointless post

I bought my new Z4 3.0l Serling Grey at about that time (mine on launch day). Was looking for pictures a few days ago but couldn't find any.

Enjoy. Lovely car !

I know the feeling, bought mine with just over 19k on it, It went over 20k a few of months back - I was heart broken. They grow up so fast don't they? :D

Amazed by these low mileage examples - 12 year old Zeds with less than 20,000 miles :o

It must be difficult to bring yourself to add miles to them

:driving:

Mine's only 9 years old so it doesn't count :)

Wow, that's impressive
I nearly took the same photo of mine today as I noticed it was on 72k exactly :o

Mine is on 105k now I love driving it too much to worry to be honest.

Never missed a beat either

20k on a 2003 car is mega low mind you

2004 3.0SE - You can see what mine is at   this summer will top 30k !!!!!!!!!!!!! - we all need to get out more

Still a bit confused about servicing issues - mine has had oil service/brake fluid replaced every 2 years from new and Inspection 1 ( is about to have another time bounded oil/brake fluid service ) - was thinking about getting an Inspection 2 but as this is mileage bound is it really worth it ? Here is what is indicated:

What have you others done ?

You are all crazy  mines nearly on 99k and still going strong. These engines seem to love mileage put on them.

No doubt at all about the mechanicals its more the bodywork that suffers in the salty / gritty winter roads!
They use the stuff more than Tarmac up here!

I have had my Z4 just 4 months, it's on 98k and runs like a dream, about average for a 9 year old car I guess.
It's interesting about mileage, on the one hand I would obviously love a low miler like some of those on this thread, however, mine has a full and comprehensive service history showing lots of expensive bills. The mot/service at 80k cost over £1000 and another back at 60k cost £1,500. Only time will tell, but perhaps buying a high-miler with FSH (at a lower price) has saved me the expense of all those service cost and replacement parts. I plan to keep it for at least 3 years so it will be interesting to see what bills I end up paying as it climbs into 100k plus territory. :driving:

Rare occasion ….

… no dust on the binnacle :D
You wanna see mine, not a speck

It's probably worth us putting a disclaimer on the bottom of all future posts that relate to a car's level of cleanliness...

*it should be noted that whilst this post references condition of a car, it should be noted for the interest of all those reading that JE's car is and will forever remain cleaner and in a better condition.

That way it will save you having to post JE  :poke:
