Roll Hoops! Silver or Black or Mixture?

Opinions please.....

I have a new set of black hoops so I thought I'd have a go at replacing my silver ones today, then half way through I thought I like that I think??

As I have a carbon dash I'm thinking about silver/black hoop mix, I actually like being different... :undecided:

What do you think? All black, all silver or mixture?

Terry

I'm I right in thinking e89's have mixed coloured hoops?

Def different :o

For me it would have to be one or the other, just my opinion. If you like it, keep it

If you went all black, what are your plans for the silver seat belt guides ?

I'd try it 2 tone for a while then go all black later if your not convinced.

I have some sports seats but need to swop over the bases as they are not electric, also going to change the passenger occupancy mat from my non sport seat so I don't have to use any addition workarounds! So for the time being the seat hoops will stay silver, but if I go black hoops the seat belt hoop would also be black ;)

I have sport seats too 8)
In that case then my vote would be, go all black.

Once my seats get sorted, I'll go for black/black but for the moment I'm liking the silver/black combo with the silver seat hoop, but easy to change so not overly worried at this stage... Nice to get some opinions :)

I've just realised I'm missing those seat belt guide cover pieces! How do they attach? Just clip on?

EDIT: .....or are those pieces for preface lift?

I broke the clips on the rear covers when I changed mine due the old ones being scratched, once they are off the front clips can be seen and released without breaking.

Your not missing them you've got sport seats

Excellent!

Also, how easy is it to remove the roll bar cover pieces? I've heard the clips can break quite easily?

They are a pain to remove and clips will break, but you can loose a few before they won't clip back together! Best way is to use trim tools once you've got them off once they are easy to remove the second time! I'm sure there was a guide somewhere on the forum.

I'd have done the opposite way round like the pic you found, reminiscent of the e89 hoops IIRC. However it doesn't look rubbish at all Terry, as an interim step - and ties into the silver covers on your current seats nicely

iv got a silver zed like yours. i went for the black roll over bars and painted the seat belt guides black too.

taking the seats into get retrimmed though next month, so going to have the roll over bars trimmed in leather instead!
