Rocking horse poop?

Does anyone know where I can get a boot mat/liner and mud flaps for a Z4M?

Amazon has lots of 3rd party boot liners for standard Z4 but the battery bulge in the Z4M means they wont fit. I have always installed boot liners and mud flaps in all my cars because up until know it was a really easy add on for a bit of protection.

I never managed to find the genuine BMW one for the specific Z4M boot shape (p/n 82110417601) over this side of the pond (not even listed on the European parts list), and never found any 'all weather' rubber one in our shape anywhere (other than the cut-to-fit types).

Thanks for the info mmm-five, I'm not too worried about it being an OEM part as long as it fits nicely. Handy to have the part number though. I hadnt heard of cut-to-fit boot mats, I'll do some searching, thank you.
Anyone else got a lead on a boot mat/liner?

Something occurred to me last night. Years ago when I had some carpet off cuts I cut them to sizes to fit under some furniture and then took them to a local seamstress who worked from her hobby room and she added the "Whipping" which is the stitched edging which makes it look like

I cant remember the price but it was something like a few pounds per foot of whipping. There are loads of people offering carpet whipping services. If it proves impossible to find a rubber solution I might see if I can buy a carpet off-cut from somewhere, cut it to the correct size and then get it whipped.

My M240i (F22) needed a boot mat. I contacted one of the online companies who said that if I made up a template they would make one. I did and they did. Free of charge as it saved them the bother of doing a template and the fitting. It’s now on their books. I am in Spain so can’t recall the company but will check on return. I need a boot mat (for an MC) so I might do it anyway……these mats would be fabric like OEM.

I have found a local lady that does whipping. Got a shock when I turned up though.

CliveN, if you can dig up any details that would be extremely helpful thanks. Can you remember rough price range? £50, £100, £150?

enuff_zed, well I hope you got your moneys worth :)

I did manage to source a genuine boot liner for an M last year, but it was a ball ache having to source from the States. I think I got it from FCP Euro on part No already listed above in a previous post (82110417601).
Cost wise incl courier, taxes think it was north of £100+

Thanks LawrenceW, I've just tried FCP but cant see anything. But with the part number you provided I have found somewhere else in the states which is great.

Does anyone know a part number for a rubber boot mat? Did such a thing exist?

I know its not an M boot liner but for the winter at least when it has potential to get a little dirty, Aldi do a rubber liner for £4.95p. Perfect until you can find what you want. There are images on previous posts and several members including me have purchased one and are very happy, especially where muddy golf clubs are concerned.

Thanks Nanu, I'll take a look, especially at that price. Looks ideal for slinging the dirty wellies in the boot :)
