Roadster with a hardtop

Hey all.

Seen a few roadsters on here with a hardtop.

How and where are people getting these from?
 
They tend to come from 3 sources:
Ebay
For sale section here
Dealer

Spring is just around the corner so some will come available soon as people take them off and have limited storage, etc.
 
I wouldnt expect too much change from £1-1.2k either. Expensive but good look (plus protects the soft top through the winter).
 
Pre-painted yes.....and eBay prices tend to be anywhere from 900 on a bad day to 1200 on a good one.

What colour were you after?
 
You might strike it lucky and pick one up the same colour as your car,if not then you are looking at about £200 to get it resprayed.Good luck :thumbsup:
 
Duh, I should have tread his siggy :oops:

Black seems to go for a tad less for some reason I don't get, as there are plenty of black cars around, as do some of the less common colours like Merlot.
 
I'd have thought black ones would go for more as you could use a black one on any colour and it'd look like it had the roof up and you could get away with it.If you had a blue car and a silver roof it'd look naff.Oh well. :D
 
Yeah its black, I dont think I will pick one up with summer around the corner, but could be intrested for next year.

We will see.

Well it's the perfect time. You can expect them to drop to perhaps as low as £800-£900 in the next month or so, then sail back to £1,000 - £1,200 come Autumn.

I actually think year on year the price is rising on these as there are few new ones coming into circulation and Zeds become 'keepers'.

You'd think so, but I watch them pretty regularly out of habit and blacks don't seem to do so well. I also agree about the goes with anything, within reason (I'd agree about black working on silver/grey cars but not so sure about the blues/merlot etc.. - although the silver on mid blue sounds different too!), but then you and I are old enough to remember when ALL hardtops were black, black or black LOL! :oops:
 
You could get a different colour hardtop vinyl wrapped, probably for a lot cheaper than a paint job, and it will give 2 colour options when selling on...
