Roadster S Wanted

Hi

I've been lurking for a while and have my heart set an a nice Roadster S. I looked at one of the 7 on Autotrader last week (58k miler in Hitchin). I'm totally sold on an Alpina rather than a Z4M (just more special and grown up). The one I looked at had incomplete service history and that concerned me.

I have looked at the silver Sytner car but know that they bought via an Ebay sale and have an enormous margin in it. I did call them and made what I thought was a reasonable offer but they were not interested at all.

So, if anyone is thinking of selling their Roasdster, I am in the market for a top condition and provenance car. Low miles and great history prefered. I'm open on colours (I realise that I can't afford to be too choosy!)

Many thanks

The one with 58k miles looked a decent option, what's the issue with the service history?

Only 3 or 4 stamps in the book. Was off the road for a few years and not sure what attention it received then. It had some BMW printouts but not sure whether entries were for services, warranty work etc. Just not what I wanted.

I found when I was searching none of them are perfect, the 12 month warranty was the clincher for me.
What about the red one in Horsham on 42k mikes, non lux but has hardtop included.

You might not have picked this one up on any of the selling sites!

A bit prices but only 26k miles.
They're another that wouldn't budge on the price, doubt will have changed since my enquiry in January.

Re: the red one. Just not sure that red works with an Alpina???? Silver one in Manchester is too expensive in my opinion - that's Sytner money.

When the right car comes along I'll know!

Good luck with your search, keep us posted

James Paul at Bucks Green (near Horsham) is just down the road from me. I recently stopped and looked at it closely. I don't think that the pictures on the website do it justice. In the flesh is (nearly) as clean and shiny as Perry's.

James Paul have a good reputation. Well worth a look I would have thought.

I thought Alan's car looked clean, but Perry's is superb. And they look better in a bold colour like red, blue or black
