I have been very naughty and bought another Alpina so need to make way for her by selling No19, the original UK press launch car.
She is in great shape and I want her to go to a good home. I’ve replaced the sound system with a fab pioneer apple car play one (this can be returned to original ) and also replaced the NS Headlamp. I would like £17500 for her. She has 92,000 miles and drives beautifully. The lowered suspension is the only non standard thing on her but this only adds to the performance and look. She is well known to the Z4 community having won many car of the month competitions, so she features in the official Z4 forum calendar ( I have copy for the new owner). I have a file of history with everything needed. She was well cared for by the prior owner who is also well know on the forum. The number plate will not be kept on the car.
Please contact me via email [email protected]
Car location is Woodford Green, Essex/London boarders.

It might be useful to edit your post and use the option to add the green "For Sale" flag to the header, and change "No 10" to "No 19"!

And people like an indication of where the car is located.

GLWTS.

I can vouch for this car (#019) as I owned it previously for 6 years. There are many photos of it on this forum but I’ll add a few here again

Prior to me selling it, it was returned to OEM stock, including the headlights, as shown below

There’s also a video of it on the turn-table taken at Cotswold BMW during the English-Welsh Forum meet

The car is now, with Simon and located just East of London.

Hi Team,

She is in great shape and I want her to go to a good home. I’ve replaced the sound system with a fab pioneer apple car play that sounds amazing and makes a massive difference in the usability of the car (original can be replaced). I also replaced the NS Headlamp. She has 92,000 miles and drives beautifully. The lowered suspension is the only non standard thing on her but this only adds to the performance and look. She is well known to the Z4 community having won many car of the month competitions, so she features in the official Z4 forum calendar ( I have copy for the new owner). Current bid at £3,100 with 60k miles Z4 3.0 - without the cosmetic make-up of Alpina …

How does that work, is there a reserve?

That VAT element is another thing I don't understand.

Not hand built - Z4 3.0 not the standard N52 engine but the older M52 engine plus a few cosmetic add-ons

Bollocks...

The RS & B3S engines were each hand-built in Buchloe by a single technician - they're 3.4L not 3.0l and, amongst other modifications, I think spending over 10 hours porting the head, the addition of Alpina cams and crank plus lightweight forged Mahle pistons counts as a bit more than a 'cosmetic add-on'...

From the horses' mouth... https://www.alpina-automobiles.com/en/alpina/manufacture/
The engine is an automobile’s heart – and from day one, the engine workshop was the heart of ALPINA.

For decades, many thousands of ALPINA engines have been assembled by hand. The specialised parts, manufactured in-house, and the parts from our suppliers, are meticulously inspected for fit and quality prior to assembly.

Are you saying the 3.0 engine is not hand built ? Only the 3.4S ?

SLK55 AMG engine is hand built technician name on a plate.

Alpina RS has the M52 engine mad produced for the E36

This thread is about the sale of Simon Rose's Alpina RS (#019) not a standard 3.0L Z4 (which has a mass-produced BMW production-line engine)

The block of the 3.4L B3S engine used in the Alpina is a modified version of the block used in the US-spec E36 M3 and the Z3M (the S52B32, not an M52) bored out to 3.4l, but they don't use the head from the S52B32.

If you're going to use 'Alpina RS' as your username, I suggest that you learn a bit more about the marque before exposing your lack of knowledge.

The RS is not hand built engine is modified

Not hand built - modified engine - a very old engine compared to a Z4 3.0 standard

I politely suggest that your definition of a hand-built engine differs from the norm...

...and you really are coming across as a Troll, so I'll leave you in your own little world with your padded walls and pet unicorns.

Hand built or not, one things for sure it's not a flat-six :poke:

Another handsome Alpina on the market. And good luck with the sale. veering slightly off topic into troll territory, and wondering where do they (trolls) all come from?
Unfortunately the problem exists even as far away as New Zealand, read the Q & A on the listing below.
